Manhunt Continues for Escaped Tennessee Murder Convict; Wisconsin Robbery Under Investigation
Jacob Allen Morley, a convicted murderer serving a life sentence for the 2022 killing of Cody Birchfield, escaped from Northwest Correctional Complex in Lake County, Tennessee on Monday. Authorities are investigating whether he is linked to a Tuesday bank robbery at Bank of Deerfield in Dane County, Wisconsin, where a gunman restrained two employees and fled with cash before abandoning a stolen Lincoln MKZ. Morley's stolen white 2008 Ford F-150 was found abandoned early Tuesday in Marion, Illinois, though police say there is no evidence he remains in that area. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has not confirmed the Wisconsin robbery connection. A $15,000 reward is offered for information leading to Morley's arrest; he is considered dangerous and residents are urged not to approach him.
