Fugitive Anthony Green Arrested in Memphis One Year After Mistaken Release
Authorities arrested fugitive Anthony Green in Memphis on Wednesday, one year after he was mistakenly released from custody. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office stated that Green had been erroneously freed in September 2025 following a clerical error involving bond processing for an unrelated misdemeanor. Deputies and U.S. Marshals executed a search warrant at the 3300 block of Knights Trail, where Green was taken into custody. He faces charges including first-degree murder related to a 2020 case.
