Placer County Ballot Measures Lead in Nov. 3 Election Night Returns

Early unofficial results from Placer County's November 3 election show proposed sales tax increases in Rocklin, Lincoln and Colfax exceeding approval thresholds as of 8:02 p.m. Rocklin's Measure C (54% yes) would generate about $8 million annually for general city services including police and fire protection; Lincoln's Measure F (58% yes) would raise about $6 million for public safety; Colfax's Measure I (59% yes) targets streets, sidewalks and drainage with about $1.86 million annually. County governance measures G and H also led, while Rocklin Unified School District's $288 million bond measure (Measure D) trailed its 55% threshold at 53%. Roseville's Measure A to increase City Council pay from $600 to $2,550 monthly drew 60% yes votes. Results reflected early mailed ballots with more votes remaining to be counted.
