Cornell Faces Questions Over Dorm Placement of Disciplined Student
A Cornell University student disciplined in connection with an alleged 2024 gang rape at a fraternity house returned to campus this fall after a three-semester suspension and was placed in a co-ed dorm with a roommate unaware of his past, according to psychology professor Corinna Loeckenhoff. Housing officials reportedly left the student in that room for two weeks after the accuser filed a lawsuit in September publicly accusing him of rape. Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff faces a possible no-confidence vote from faculty, with debate resuming Wednesday. The university said it would review how the dorm situation was handled, while all seven accused men have denied the allegations.
