Wind Advisory for Desert Region Expires at 5 p.m. Oct. 11
The National Weather Service in Phoenix announced that a wind advisory covering the Desert Region, including Joshua Tree, Imperial Valley, Salton Sea, Chuckwalla Mountains, and Palo Verde Valley, expired at 5 p.m. on October 11, 2026. The NWS stated that wind gusts had dropped below advisory criteria and would continue tapering off through the evening. The advisory affected zones across Imperial County and Riverside County in southeastern California.
