The council declined to issue a resolution supporting Proposition 1, the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2026, with all members except Councilmember Sarah Chapman and Vice Mayor Michael Silva voting against the endorsement. Councilmember Fremouw raised concerns about accountability in how the $11.25 billion bond funds would be distributed, while Silva advocated for competitive applications targeting veterans at Travis Air Force Base.
