Judge Asked to Compel Disclosure of Kennedy Center Records
Attorneys for Rep. Joyce Beatty have asked a federal judge to compel the Trump administration to disclose emails and text messages regarding management decisions at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The plaintiffs allege that withheld records show near-constant contact between President Trump’s staff and center executives, including discussions preceding a board vote to close the facility for renovations. U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper is reviewing the request to override claims of executive privilege.
