SRVUSD Moves HQ to Canyon Commons Plaza in San Ramon, Becomes Commercial Landlord
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District completed relocating 101 employees from its old Danville offices to the four-story Canyon Commons Corporate Plaza at 3130 Crow Canyon Place in San Ramon between Oct. 7 and Oct. 12, after purchasing the building for $18,009,987. The district occupies parts of three floors with a public lobby in Suite 300, while commercial tenants including First American Title, Be CLINICAL, Hunter Tax Associates, Edward Jones Investment, and Risewell Homes fill the remaining space; Westamerica Bank recently signed a lease expected to bring occupancy to 98%. SRVUSD expects $1.8 million annually in lease revenue, and plans to sell its former property at 699 Old Orchard Drive in Danville once a pending California Department of Education waiver clears, a process that could take four to six months. The school board will continue meeting at the old Danville headquarters through the 2026-27 fiscal year while the district explores alternative venues.
