Two Colorado Mountain College Students Found Dead in Chaffee County Mountains
The bodies of Kaden Matsuda, 19, and Jackson Donlon, 20, were recovered Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m. from a basin of West Apostle Mountain in northern Chaffee County, Colorado, the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office confirmed. The two students had been reported missing Monday after arriving at the Mount Huron trailhead Friday and setting up camp near Lake Ann before a snowstorm dropped 1 to 2 feet of snow on nearby Ice Mountain. Roughly 60 search-and-rescue members from seven agencies, along with helicopters and drones, combed the area Wednesday. Sheriff's officials said foul play is not suspected and no theories will be offered until autopsies are completed.
