Winter Weather Advisory for Mono County, Oct. 31 8 a.m.–Nov. 1 7 a.m.
The National Weather Service in Reno issued a winter weather advisory for Mono County valid from Saturday at 8 a.m. through Sunday at 7 a.m. The advisory warns of snow above 8,000 feet with accumulations of 3 to 6 inches and up to 12 inches along the highest peaks, with winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Heaviest snowfall is expected late Saturday night. Officials urge travelers to slow down, watch for slippery roads, and avoid routes with many trees and power lines.
