Sen. Collins Campaigns With Manchin in Lewiston Ahead of Nov. 3 Election
Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins campaigned with former Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin on Wednesday, stopping at Simones' Hot Dog Stand in Lewiston and a New Balance shoe facility in Norway. Collins is seeking her sixth term against Democrat Troy Jackson, a former state Senate president who was scheduled to campaign Thursday in Portland with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The race centers on whether Collins can maintain her independent brand while distancing herself from President Trump, whom Democrats have used to attack her.
