Yuba County Agriculture Value Rises 10%; Kiwifruit Tops Crops for First Time
The Yuba County Department of Agriculture's annual Crop & Livestock Report shows the county's gross agricultural production value rose approximately 10% from 2024 to 2025, reaching $287,750,570. Kiwifruit claimed the top spot for the first time at $57.9 million, displacing rice ($56.9 million), with walnuts third at $40.0 million. Agricultural Commissioner Stephen Scheer noted that agriculture accounts for one in every 11 jobs in Yuba County and generates an estimated total economic value of $467,594,676 when including processing, transportation, and marketing activity. The report states that approximately 270,000 acres, or 66 percent of the county's land area, consist of agricultural croplands and pastureland.
