Two Arrested in Whatcom County After Alleged Car Theft and Assault
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office arrested two residents on suspicion of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and theft of a motor vehicle. The incident occurred when an 82-year-old man arranged to sell his Toyota Highlander at a Walmart in Everson. Authorities allege the suspects attacked the victim during a test drive before stealing the car. The suspects were identified after police found both vehicles in their driveway.
