Wyoming Energy Fund Seeks Public Input by Nov. 16
The Wyoming Energy Authority is recommending $48 million in grants from the state's Energy Dominance Fund to three energy projects: a uranium conversion facility by Nucleon Fuel at the Fort Union Industrial Park north of Gillette, natural gas infrastructure expansion near Wamsutter by Williams, and a natural gas connection for WE Soda's soda ash processing operations. A separate $969,243 grant from the Energy Matching Funds program is recommended for Arcadia Minerals' rare earth testing project in Washakie County. The public comment period ends Nov. 16, after which recommendations go to Gov. Mark Gordon for approval. The Energy Dominance Fund was authorized by the Wyoming Legislature at up to $105 million, funded by severance tax revenue from energy extraction.
