Raleigh Man Arrested Again on Sexual Exploitation of Minor Charges
Philip Joseph "Joey" DeSena, 44, of Raleigh, was arrested Oct. 23 in Wake County on 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to court records. The charges stem from alleged possession of sexually explicit images and videos involving children; he was denied bond at an initial hearing Monday. The arrest follows his July 2026 guilty plea to two counts of felony secret peeping, for which he received 60 months of probation and was ordered to complete a psychosexual mental health assessment. DeSena, who won two episodes of "Jeopardy!" in November 2024, is scheduled back in court Nov. 16 on the new charges.
