Mother seeks justice after son shot in Valdosta apartment incident
Marshania English reports that her 10-year-old son, Javion, was shot in the face by a 9-year-old boy at Brittany Woods Apartments in Valdosta, Georgia, on September 7. Police charged the shooter's mother, Andrea McClendon, with second-degree cruelty to children and reckless conduct after she turned herself in on September 14. English states that McClendon still lives nearby and that no court date has been communicated to her family. Javion is recovering at home but remains out of school for physical education activities.
