Uinta County Coroner Charged with Felonies Ahead of Oct. 30 Hearing
Uinta County Coroner Greg Crandall has been arrested and charged with five felonies and six misdemeanors related to alleged misconduct in his official duties. The charges, stemming from an investigation that began in April 2025, include aggregate theft of over $41,000 in public funds and issuing false certificates. Crandall, who has served as coroner since 2003 and recently secured the Republican nomination for the August primary, denies the allegations. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30.
