Trinity County Court Seeks Grand Jury Applicants Through Dec. 11

The Trinity County Superior Court is recruiting citizens for the 2027 civil grand jury, a panel of 11 to 19 members who investigate citizen complaints relating to local government agencies. Applications are accepted until Dec. 11 via the court's website at www.trinity.courts.ca.gov/general-information/jury-services. The court was unable to seat a grand jury in 2026 due to insufficient applicants; those prior applicants remain in the drawing unless they call 530-623-1369 to withdraw.

Low-Cost Pet Spay/Neuter Clinic Nov. 13-15 at Douglas City Fire Department

The Trinity Animal Shelter Auxiliary is partnering with Animal Balance for a low-cost spay/neuter clinic November 13-15 at the Douglas City Fire Department, 101 Steiner Flat Road. The three-day event will alter 100 dogs and 100 cats, with procedure prices ranging from $165 to $290 depending on species, sex, and weight; vaccinations are included. Discounts are available for low-income residents, and a volunteer program lets participants earn reduced fees by completing 24 hours of shelter work.
