High Wind Warning for Riverside County Mountains Through Sunday Midnight, Oct. 18
The NWS San Diego issued an updated high wind warning valid from Thursday at 6 a.m. through Sunday midnight for the Riverside County Mountains area. Northeast to east winds of 25–35 mph with gusts of 50–60 mph are expected, with gusts up to 65 mph on mountain foothills and the strongest winds on Friday. The NWS warns of damaging winds that could blow down trees and power lines, widespread power outages, and difficult travel especially for high-profile vehicles. Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor objects.
