Mill Spring Nuisance Property Ordered Vacated Oct. 27
A judge signed a consent judgment on Oct. 27 ordering everyone except the property owner to vacate a home at 113 Henry Ruff Road in Mill Spring, N.C., following years of disturbances, drug violations and numerous emergency calls. The Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action was brought by Polk County on behalf of the state. Under the judgment, all nuisance activity must cease immediately and the owner has 365 days to clean up the property and bring it into full compliance. The action involved the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Mill Spring Township and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement's Nuisance Abatement Team.
