Coastal Flood Advisory in Effect Through Friday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard issued a coastal flood advisory Wednesday at 11:39 a.m. for San Luis Obispo County Beaches and other Southern California coastal areas, in effect until Friday at 2 p.m. High tides are expected to reach 7.5–8.0 feet MLLW late Thursday morning, about 1.0 to 1.5 feet above astronomical projections, with minor to moderate flooding of low-lying coastal areas including beach parking lots, bike paths, and harbor walkways. Moderate to significant beach erosion is likely, and isolated structural damage from seawater inundation is possible in the most vulnerable areas. Residents in flood-prone or low-lying camping areas are urged to move to higher ground and avoid driving through floodwaters.
