Portland Man Accused of Posing as NFL Player to Defraud 26+ Women Indicted in Federal Court
Daejon Labrayae Delenar Love, 35, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Portland on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud for allegedly posing as an NFL player and wealthy real estate developer to defraud at least 26 women of more than $1 million through dating apps. Love appeared before a U.S. magistrate judge Tuesday, pleaded not guilty, and was ordered held in jail pending a jury trial set for Dec. 15, 2026. An alleged accomplice, Taylor Chan, 18, also faces wire fraud and conspiracy charges. One Portland-area woman who briefly dated Love said she ended the encounter within minutes after his claims of extreme wealth felt insincere.
