Lake County Hospice Rebrands as Lake Circle of Care; Wings of Hope Camp Paused
After 25 years, Lake County Hospice Services' Wings of Hope Family Camp at Saratoga Springs Retreat Center in Upper Lake has been temporarily put on hold as the organization rebrands to Lake Circle of Care. CEO Scott McFarland cited new state requirements, regulatory changes, and shifting reimbursement pressures behind the restructuring, which includes staff cuts and a shift from the three-day camp toward year-round bereavement services reaching more than five families. The Wings of Hope program continues serving 17 schools across the lake with one-on-one counseling for grieving students. Redbud Health Care District's board will consider a grant funding request for Lake Circle of Care at its Oct. 27 meeting in Clearlake.
