Accidental Pepper Spray Discharge Evacuates Hawaii Craft Fair Sunday
Honolulu police responded to the Neal S. Blaisdell Center after 3 p.m. on Sunday following an accidental pepper spray discharge at the Hawaii Holiday Craft and Gift Fair. A vendor reported that a customer accidentally activated a canister while examining it, releasing contents into the air. The incident prompted an evacuation of the event hall as Honolulu firefighters and EMS crews responded. Fourteen adults were evaluated at the scene and declined hospital transport.
