O-SAR Recovers Empty Barrel from Fremont Lake in Search for Missing Family
Organized Search and Rescue (O-SAR) recovered a barrel from Fremont Lake in August as part of the ongoing search for Virginia Uden and her two sons, who disappeared in 1980. The recovered container contained only lake sediment, but drone footage revealed another drum nearby believed to hold the remains of the boys. Gerald Uden was convicted of first-degree murder in 2013 for the killings. O-SAR plans to return before winter to attempt recovery of the second barrel.
