Clovis Attorney Pleads No Contest in Child Molestation Case
Robert Quinlan Bergstrom, an 84-year-old Clovis attorney, pleaded no contest to four counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor. The plea deal was reached during preliminary hearings after one victim testified about abuse spanning several years. As part of the agreement, prosecutors dropped four other counts and sentencing enhancements. Judge Alvin Harrell informed Bergstrom that he faces 12 years in prison and must register as a sex offender. Sentencing is scheduled for December 11.
