Panther Clinic Opens at Palisades Glacier High School in Bishop, Serving Students Monthly
The Northern Inyo Healthcare District and Bishop Unified School District opened the Panther Clinic at Palisades Glacier High School on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, expanding a partnership that began with the Bronco Clinic at Bishop Union High School. The clinic operates from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on the first Friday of each month, offering services including care for minor illnesses and injuries, asthma treatment, mental health support, reproductive healthcare, TB testing, and over-the-counter medications. Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Colleen McEvoy oversees both clinics. Bishop Unified provided $50,000 toward startup costs, supplemented by a $9,000 grant from the Foster Youth Coordinating Program. No student is turned away for lack of insurance or inability to pay.
