Federal Agents Search Beverly Hills Mansion in Swalwell Investigation
Federal law enforcement agents searched a Beverly Hills home early Tuesday as part of an investigation into former Rep. Eric Swalwell, who resigned from Congress in April amid sexual misconduct allegations. The search targeted the residence of Stephen Cloobeck, founder of Diamond Resorts International and a former Swalwell campaign donor. The FBI confirmed conducting "an operation in the Los Angeles region related to an ongoing criminal investigation." Swalwell has denied criminal wrongdoing. Multiple jurisdictions, including the Manhattan DA's office and Los Angeles prosecutors, are examining separate allegations against him.
