Six Flags Over Georgia Adds Seat Belts to Goliath After Fatal Ejection
Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell announced Friday it will install seat belts on the Goliath roller coaster and conduct safety audits across five parks following the death of 42-year-old Atlanta Public Schools employee Hassan Kariem, who was ejected from the ride. Four other guests, all juveniles, were injured but their injury details have not been released. The company hired independent engineers to audit safety procedures across its entire ride portfolio, while Goliath and eight other attractions remain closed with no announced reopening date. Investigators have not identified the mechanical or operational factors that caused Kariem's ejection.
